Featherstone Rovers Women are supported by the Featherstone Rovers Foundation, which plays a crucial role in the player pathway and wider development of the women’s game. The Foundation helps to build participation through programmes such as RugBees, an exciting initiative for girls aged 7–11 that provides a fun, inclusive introduction to rugby league. RugBees focuses on developing skills, confidence and enjoyment in a welcoming environment, encouraging beginners to get involved and helping to challenge stereotypes around the sport.
In addition, the Foundation supports progression through initiatives such as Fev Futures in local secondary schools, creating clear pathways from grassroots participation into club rugby. Match days are also enhanced through Foundation involvement, including entertainment from the dance academy, community club activities and school competitions, all of which help increase spectator engagement and strengthen the connection between the team and the local community.
