Featherstone Rovers Foundation Launches New Website to Strengthen Community Support
Featherstone Rovers Foundation is proud to announce the launch of its brand-new website, marking an exciting new chapter for the community charity as it continues to grow and support local people across Featherstone and the wider Wakefield District.
The new website has been designed to make it easier for families, schools, participants, volunteers and partners to access information about the Foundation’s community programmes, school sport delivery, health and wellbeing projects, dance activities, rugby development sessions and inclusive community opportunities.
Leading this new chapter is new Head of Foundation, Jamie Cording, who brings a fresh approach while building on the incredible work and strong reputation already established within the community.
Jamie said the focus moving forward is not about changing what makes the Foundation special, but about strengthening and growing the opportunities already available for local people.
The Foundation has long been recognised for delivering high-quality community projects, supporting thousands of people every year through sport, physical activity, education, social inclusion and wellbeing initiatives. From school sports coaching and holiday camps to youth provision, dance academies, digital inclusion sessions and community coffee mornings, the organisation remains committed to creating positive opportunities for everyone.
Importantly, the Foundation also wants to reassure supporters, participants and the wider community that its work continues despite the current uncertainty surrounding the rugby club.
We’re still here for our community. While the rugby club is currently in administration and its future is being worked through, the Foundation remains active and independent, continuing to support local people, programmes and opportunities across the community.
As a registered charity and not-for-profit organisation, Featherstone Rovers Foundation continues to deliver vital community services and activities that help improve health, wellbeing, confidence and social connection for people of all ages and backgrounds.
The launch of the new website represents more than just a new online presence. It reflects the Foundation’s ongoing commitment to accessibility, inclusion and community engagement, while creating new ways for local people to get involved, access support and stay connected with upcoming events and activities.
Visitors to the new website can explore the Foundation’s latest community projects, weekly activities, school sport programmes, rugby and dance opportunities, fundraising campaigns and partnership work, alongside news and updates from across the organisation.
As the Foundation looks ahead, the message remains clear: supporting the community will always come first.
