Offload is a men’s mental fitness and wellbeing project run by Featherstone Rovers Foundation in partnership with RL Cares. Funded by the Coalfield Regeneration Trust, Offload is helping challenge how the sporting world tackles issues such as depression and anxiety, and is already receiving widespread acclaim for its work in Lancashire. Men are invited to come behind the scenes of their home team for 6 fixtures and find out how players, coaches and referees stay mentally strong as well as physically fit. Designed and delivered with the help of State of Mind and other agencies, Offload is open to all men aged 16 and over. Men meet and talk with current and former professional players to learn techniques that Rugby League clubs use to manage the mental and physical fitness of players.
Government Guidelines The government has announced a National lockdown in England starting from Tuesday 5th January 2021 until February half term at the earliest. It is important to note Government guidelines are regularly changing, therefore should any major changes be brought in that may change the guidance given in this document, we will communicate to all participants accordingly.
The guidelines announced by the government on 31st October 2020 regarding support groups can be found here.
4. Businesses and venues “Some venues will be allowed to remain open for specific exempt activities, like childcare and support groups. Support groups that are essential to deliver in person can continue with up to 15 participants where formally organised to provide mutual aid, therapy or any other form of support. This includes support to victims of crime, people in drug and alcohol recovery, new parents and guardians, people with long-term illnesses, people facing issues relating to their sexuality or gender, and those who have suffered bereavement.”
