Featherstone Rovers Foundation is proud to be part of the Wakefield District’s Community Anchor Network (CAN) - a group of like-minded organisations committed to making a lasting difference in their communities.
As a Community Anchor, we are a trusted and inclusive hub, rooted deeply in Featherstone and the surrounding areas. From supporting wellbeing to offering vital local services, we are here for the community.

What is a Community Anchor?
Community Anchors are established, grassroots organisations formed by local people to meet local needs. With teams made up of staff, volunteers, and community members, they deliver a broad range of services, making it easier for residents to access multiple forms of support in one place.
Whether it’s helping individuals find friendship, access to advice, or attend community-led activities, Community Anchors are dynamic and responsive to what matters most to the people they serve.
